One of my favorite locations in Logan, Utah is the campus of Utah State University. With its beautiful buildings, gardens, and walkways, there are endless opportunities for family pictures. I've done a lot of shoots on Old Main Hill, just below the iconic "A" tower that can be seen throughout Cache Valley. Sometimes I capture the view looking over the valley, other times people like to get the Logan Temple in the background, but this family specifically requested photos at the amphitheater, which I loved!

The sprinklers came on as we arrived (of course) so we worked around them and got some great variety with greenery and sunlight in the background at the top of Old Main Hill. Then we shot at the amphitheater. The gray concrete created a clean and seamless look for the photos. I like to create images that feel timeless, and the simplicity of this location helped with that.

I also met Annie here, when we worked together at USU. So the location had an added significance, and for her family. I've done family pictures for the Christensen's a couple times now, and I am always so impressed with how easy their kids are. Happy and good listeners, a photographer's dream!
